Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the https://www.leroc.com website and related services (the "Service") operated by Leroc.com ("we", "us", or "our").

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which together govern your use of the Service.

1. Eligibility

The Service provides information about and access to dance classes, workshops, and events operated by Leroc.com in the United Kingdom. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  1. Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation;
  2. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
  3. Interfere with or disrupt the security or performance of the Service;
  4. Use the Service to transmit harmful, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content.

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict your access if we believe you are misusing the Service.

3. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Leroc.com and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

4. Bookings, Tickets, and Payments

We offer tickets for certain events for sale online. Other classes or events may be offered on a pay-on-the-door basis. Availability is subject to capacity limits and is not guaranteed unless confirmed by us.

All prices are displayed in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

Refunds and Transfers

Unless otherwise stated, tickets and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. We may, at our sole discretion, offer refunds or transfers in exceptional circumstances.

If we cancel an event or are unable to deliver it for reasons within our control, you will be entitled to a refund of the ticket price paid (excluding any third-party booking or processing fees, where applicable).

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5. Links to Third-Party Websites

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Leroc.com.

We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that Leroc.com shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused by or in connection with your use of any such third-party websites or services.

6. Membership, Suspension, and Termination

Access to certain classes, events, or features of the Service may require an active membership with Leroc.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership, or refuse entry to classes or events, with immediate effect and without prior notice where we reasonably believe that:

  1. you have breached these Terms, our Code of Conduct, or any applicable rules;
  2. your behaviour poses a risk to the safety, wellbeing, or enjoyment of other members, instructors, staff, or attendees;
  3. your actions could damage our reputation, operations, or community.

Where appropriate and practicable, we may provide warnings or an opportunity to address the issue before taking action, but we are not obliged to do so.

Termination or suspension of membership does not automatically entitle you to a refund of membership fees, tickets, or other payments, except where required by law.

All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive suspension or termination shall survive, including, without limitation, intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation or availability of the Service, or that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Leroc.com and its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Leroc.com and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days’ notice before the new terms take effect. By continuing to use the Service after changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

13. Health & Safety Disclaimer

Participation in dance classes and events involves physical activity and carries a risk of injury. By attending our classes or events, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically fit and able to participate, and for following all safety instructions provided by instructors or event staff. We are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from your participation, except where caused by our negligence or where liability cannot be excluded by law.

14. Photography and Video Recording

We may take photographs or video recordings at classes or events for promotional and marketing purposes. By attending, you consent to being photographed or recorded and to the use of such images or recordings.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform a member of staff at the event and we will take reasonable steps to accommodate your request.

15. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, extreme weather, fire, flood, pandemics, strikes, governmental action, venue closure, or failure of utilities or transport networks.

In such circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify events. Where appropriate, refunds will be issued in accordance with Section 4.

16. Code of Conduct

We are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants, instructors, staff, and attendees.

By attending our classes or events, you agree to:

  1. Treat others with respect and courtesy;
  2. Refrain from harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or abusive behaviour of any kind;
  3. Follow the instructions of instructors, event staff, and venue personnel;
  4. Respect personal boundaries and obtain consent where appropriate, particularly in partnered dance activities;
  5. Comply with all applicable laws and venue rules.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from an event, any person whose behaviour we reasonably consider to be inappropriate, unsafe, or disruptive, without refund.

17. Accessibility

We are committed to making our classes and events as accessible and inclusive as reasonably possible.

Please note that partner dancing is a physical activity which typically requires a normal level of mobility, coordination, balance, and general fitness. While we welcome participants of varying abilities, some classes or events may not be suitable for everyone due to the physical demands involved.

If you have specific accessibility needs or questions, we encourage you to contact us in advance so we can discuss whether a particular class or event may be suitable and whether reasonable adjustments can be made.

18. Personal Belongings and Lost Property

You are responsible for your personal belongings while attending our classes or events. We do not accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal items, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

Any items found may be handed to event staff or the venue. We do not guarantee that lost property will be recovered or retained for any specific period of time.
