About Dorchester Corn Exchange
Dorchester's premier venue! Our classes are usually held in the upstairs Town Hall, a large space with a wooden floor. Occasionally we use the downstairs main hall (called the Corn Exchange) with its large sprung wooden dance floor and coloured dance floor lighting.
There is a brand new licensed bar/cafe, and nearby on-road parking and car parks.
The Corn Exchange building dates from the mid-nineteenth century and has plenty of character which adds to the dancing experience!
The use of talcum powder etc on the dance floor is prohibited.
We are a hirer of the space and do not own or operate the building.

The next four sessions are shown above, all running normally unless otherwise stated.
Weekly Leroc dance classes for adults are held at the Corn Exchange on Tuesday evenings. There is a licensed bar and a good-sized wooden dance floor. Friendly atmosphere too!
Complete beginners - even those with two left feet - are welcome! Just turn up on any Tuesday evening, with or without a partner, ready for 8pm. The cost of admission covers the whole session, including all classes, beginner coaching and practice/freestyle dancing to music.
The class has been running since 19-May-1998 and is taught by James Barwick.
The class also attracts dancers from Weymouth, Bridport, Poole, Swanage, Wareham, Blandford Forum, Beaminster and Isle of Portland.

With its large wooden dance floor, Dorchester Corn Exchange is a great venue for freestyles.
Well-attended with a friendly and lively party atmosphere, and recent beginners are welcome to join in the fun!
There is also a licensed bar so please don't bring your own drinks.
Our freestyles attract dancers from nearby Bridport, Weymouth, Portland, Wareham, Swanage, Blandford, Poole, Wimborne, Ferndown, Bournemouth & Christchurch.
