Weekly dance classes for adults in Leroc (aka modern jive) are held at the Corn Exchange on Tuesday evenings. There is a licensed bar and a good-sized wooden dance floor. Friendly atmosphere too!
Even if you are a complete beginner with two left feet - you are welcome! Just turn up on any Tuesday evening, with or without a partner, ready for 8pm. The cost of admission covers the whole session, including all classes, beginner coaching and practice/freestyle dancing to music.
The class has been running since 19-May-1998 and is taught by James Barwick, attracting dancers from the Dorset areas of Weymouth, Bridport, Poole, Swanage, Wareham, Blandford Forum, Beaminster and Isle of Portland.
Parking
All the car parks are free after 6pm, as is roadside parking in North Sq, Trinity St and Church St. The nearest car parks are Acland Road (behind Waitrose), Charles Street (by the NHS building) or Wollaston fields (behind the wall opposite Waitrose).
